Thank you for this and you are absolutely right. So much utter garbage is being written about Vikings, especially the Rus. It’s a mix between second option bias and political anti-Swedish bias i guess. I’ve even read “Viking books” where they only mentioned the Rus in order to assure the reader that they absolutely had nothing at all to do with Vikings whatsoever. So why bring it up in the first place?
